About RaceRoom Online - the basics
A ONE-STOP portal FOR RACING GAMERS
In essence RaceRoom Online is planned to be a social gaming network, a
statistical tool, a file transfer central, a news provider, a
contest hotspot, a complete leader-board, an online shop and ranking
showcase and a user-generated media gallery as well. All this
from a standard internet browser and becoming a member is free!
SimBin’s status as a multiple award wining game development company gives us a unique position where we do not depend on outside ressources to keep the portal fresh and exciting. We create our own headlines and we create the content that attract new members and makes current members keep coming back. In short; RaceRoom Online will make it more FUN to own a SimBin game and it will expand life of each of your SimBin games considerably.
RaceRoom Online will make SimBin gaming more immersive,
more fun and more attractive to you as a gamer... Through a wide variety
of events such as official championships and sponsored contests, the
gameplay value will rise steeply and the longevity will be extended.
Social
networks are embedded in one way or another in most successful
enterprises online these days, and with RaceRoom Online SimBin intend to
fill a gap in this trend. FaceBook allows you to share general life,
YouTube is for video, Flickr for photos and Twitter for rapid fire
messages... RaceRoom aims to fullfil all these needs specifically for
racing gamers and we offer you the opportunity to be an active part in
this process.
Beta.. what ?!
What does BETA mean?
RaceRoom Online is work in constant
progress and we intend to develop, refine and expand the portal in the
months and years to come. As a member of "RRO" you are treated to a front
row seat to the continued development and you even get a say in the process.
For now your user profile is
in its infant stage and you cannot yet search for other users,
interact with users or with the basic statistics on display. During Phase
2 (scheduled roll-out Spring 2011) we will focus on creating dynamic
links between users, allowing you to interact, share and compare your
stats and info to other drivers.
What is to come ?
Want to race, but not quite sure which server your mates are hiding on? Grab the interactive lobby system on RaceRoom online, find them and join them with a few clicks. Oh and while you are browsing the lobby, how about much better filtering options and live overall stats showing e.g. what time of day the most action can be found with your favorite car class. This is all planned for later phases.
The above are but a few examples of things to come, and we believe in things taking the time they take to do right so there is no precise dates for you to hang your hat at just yet.
So why even open RaceRoom Online now, before much of the fun stuff is ready?
What
we do offer right now is a chance to influence the future of RaceRoom
Online and the first steps towards embedding community activities making
the span between developer and gamer smaller than ever.
From time to time we will be issuing
polls asking YOUR vote on what is important for YOUR enjoyment of the
portal, and as a member you are always welcome to send in suggestions
and feedback through the community forum.

No worries… there is nothing BETA about the shop products, the shop system or the shop support which will all open very shortly.
